Every image begins with an idea. It’s the photographer’s job to take that idea and mold it into something beyond the expected.
I’m driven by curiosity for my subjects and their stories. I like to think the images I create exist in the in-between, where expression turns into story and personality is revealed.
Beyond that context I’m always aiming to create compelling and authentic images, no matter how produced the shot needs to be.
I’ve worn a lot of hats on my creative journey, and I understand what’s needed to bridge the gap from concept to final product. My experience in stage and screen production has shaped my approach to successful relationships, instilling a significance on trust, surrounding myself with the right collaborators.
My work has been featured in The New York Times, The Guardian, Barron's, American Theatre Magazine and HOUR Detroit to name a few. I've collaborated with a wide range of organizations - from national and regional advertising agencies like FCB, Doner and SMZ, to non-profits, brands and artists.
